There used to be a couple of boutiques in Greenwich Village that did bra fitting for crossdressers and also were well known for patronizing drag queens in the area, since that's where a lot of the TS and Queens and gay men hung out. The area was also a great place to bar hop and hang out and has since been gentrified and a lot of stores like Patricia Field and others are now gone. But in the 80s and 90s the culture there was amazing.

Hello Ms Olivia,

For me bra shopping has always been done online so have used the measure over and under bust and the difference in inches is your cup size method. The bra always "fit" but apparently most women are wearing the wrong size bra(according to experts) so I wonder what is my true bra size. I am a closet sissy so getting an in person bra fitting is not possible so if you have any 'tricks of the trade" to share I would be anxious to hear.

Hi Tiff Hi Slut Maria!

Although Olivia is the trained professional having to buy bra's for my tata's for quite sometime now here are a few of My tips for shopping on line

Pay attention to the size and measuring charts for each brand of bra. Some still adding inches to your ribcage measurment others do not.
others are true fit

Example: Adore Me and their measuring guidlines

and herroom shows add a couple of inches

Look for their return policy, so you can exchange if it doesn't fit right. Consider materials, bra's like this (above) are more forgiving. Or just buy two of two sizes you are thinking would fit and just return the one which doesn't.

Before returning be sure to troubleshoot your issue , does the band rise up when you lift up your arms too much? Do your shoulder straps slip down? Is there pinching, underwire bras although great for lifting and presentation are notorious to be less comfortable and more likely to pinch. There might be an easy adjustment to fix the fit issue before returning, sometimes just getting a different style bra like a racerback solves fit issues. Thank you so much for your reply. I have started going through the Adore Me website and have found that I am probably wearing a cup size too small. The measuring is actually quite straight forward, The value I found was in the part where it discusses how to fix sizing problems.

I haven't had a bra-fitting, but below is the model of the first bras that I purchased. They were bralettes in size 36AA that I picked-up in person from the Linda the Bra Lady store in Manhattan. I just occasionally wore them at home living with my previous boyfriend as a type of pretty and sexy lingerie.
