Sissy School

Have you lovely Mistresses considered turning your recordings into podcasts? It's pretty easy, really, since you already have the mp3 files. Just run it through Easypodcast (a free opensource program) which will even generate an rss feed file.

It only gets a little more complicated if you want to put it up on Apple's iTunes music store, which is now supporting free podcasts. Of course, Apple requires a non-standard rss file, but even that's not all that hard.

It has been suggested that we share our files on podcasts..I have looked into this and it looks a bit tricky...would anyone like to volunteer to be the resident sissy podcaster??

Also, how would we note the source on our podcasts?

Here's an example of how your RSS file might look. In fact, you could literally use this as-is and you're ready to go. That's it! Really!!

This is a standard RSS, the one for Apple iTunes is a bit different. You only need that if you're posting at Apple's iTunes music store (i sent it to you in a PM).

I've included one "item", your Cuckold Sissy mp3, but you can add more: just duplicate everything between (and including) <item> and </item> and make changes as needed. Notice i have avoided the use of apostrophies (') as some RSS readers have trouble with them.

As you can see (below), the source of your podcats is noted in the general description and again in each "item". It's always a good idea to make a short promo mp3 of your show, and there you can also note the source in strong verbal terms, as well as plug your CD's

To test your new podcast, you might try podcastpickle.com. It's one of the better directories and provides extras and also lets you apply a rating. I suggest X for this one

You'll see an "Add Casts" tab at the top of their Web site. Mmm, cucumbers

Also, if you make any changes or additions to the RSS file, just go to http://feedvalidator.org/ if you just want to make sure you still have a valid xml file.

New "items" in your RSS file are picked up automatically. You don't have to keep updating a directory or anything each time you add a new episode. That's why RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication".

The sissycast has been submitted to iTunes. It has not shown up there yet, but this is not unusual. Just check out this rant:
